No, I’m not going to explain that one right now, other than to
(A) tell you that its origins (in my life, anyway) go back to my days as a quasi-DeadHead. I say “quasi” because I never fully embraced the lifestyle, and I never traveled further than a few hundred miles to see the band (and really, it was more to be with my friends than to see the band anyway); and
(B) tell you to try it for yourself—you’ll discover that “5” is, indeed, the number you can say the loudest.
OK, that said, on with my post…
I found this on another blog, except that she had used “4” as her number, rather than “5.” I have a certain affinity for the number “5” (as explained above--sort of) and Timely Manor is my turf, so “5” it is. Here goes...
5 jobs I have had:
1) band manager
2) accounts manager
3) chiropractic assistant
4) chauffer
5) caterer
5 movies I could watch over and over:
1) Philadelphia Story
2) Chicago
3) Lost in Translation
4) Pirates of the Caribbean
5) Under the Tuscan Sun
5 blogs I visit regularly:
1) 327market.blogspot.com
2) mollyuninterrupted.blogspot.com
3) dankimball.typepad.com
4) nabajuice.blogspot.com
5) shrimpplate.blogspot.com
5 places I would rather be right now:
1) Tahoe (with my brother)
2) Grenada (with Sa)
That’s it.
5 songs I could listen to over and over:
1) Hallelujah – sung by Jeff Buckley or Justin Dillon or Ari Hest
2) The Blower’s Daughter – Damien Rice
3) Down to Beautiful – Tremolo
4) Pretty the World - Matt Nathanson
5) Sweet Abandon – Maeve
6) Breathing – Lifehouse
7) Thinking About John Hartford – Jim Brunberg
8) David (151) – Suzanne Brewer
9) Suspended – Matt Nathanson
5 reasons I blog:
1-4) to share my stories, thoughts, ideas, dreams
5) to perpetuate a false sense of self-importance ;-]
OK, so I cheated on some of those. (You couldn't really expect me to limit anything music-related to just 5, now could you?!)
I'm not going to "tag" anyone else to do this, but if you do join in, please leave a link in the comments so we can all enjoy it. Thanks.
Cheers!
